Manager, IT Category & Strategic Sourcing

Lead the initiatives to develop and implement category management strategies for key products/services, in line with agreed the Bank value drivers and intended purposes and provide the best value for money for the Bank.

Lead demand, market, and spend analysis to propose relevant category initiatives to identify opportunities for cost saving.

Continuously monitor category performance (including financial performance against spend targets, vendor segmentation, contract expiry & consumption monitoring) and recommend corrective actions where required.

Lead negotiation process with vendors to obtain best value for money for the Bank.

Guide and oversee contract management activities (manage variations, renewals, termination, and contract write-up).

Lead and own relationship with strategic vendors to obtain best value for money for the bank.

Guide and oversee the execution of the sourcing activities (RFx development, vendor identification, bid evaluation and award recommendation). and tactical purchases

Requirement:

The candidate should have very strong technical knowledge (understanding of IT systems, softwares, cloud and infrastructure services), have the ability to translate technical requirements into procurement criteria and aware of the evolving IT landscape.

The candidate should also be strong in: strategic thinking, strategic sourcing, RFx processes, contract negotiation, vendor selection, cost optimisation, legal and regulatory understanding and a people's person (strong interpersonal and stakeholder management). Strong analytical and negotiation skills are crucial.

Other important skills are capable to perform cross functional sourcing projects, skilled in timeline tracking.

Familiarity with Oracle procurement system is a bonus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Supply Chain or similar

Full or partial qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Experience: 7 Years working experience in IT Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, or related area / 3 Years operational experience of leading high value, strategic sourcing in a complex and multi-stakeholder environment.
