Job summary

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad is seeking a Manager for Group Safety (Occupational Health & Hygiene) to lead centralized safety data, dashboards, and regulatory compliance across the group, supporting the Governance & Assurance pillar.

The role covers developing the OH&H programme, conducting health risk assessments, implementing exposure controls, managing Fitness for Duty, and coordinating health emergency response with departments and authorities to ensure ongoing compliance and wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Occupational Health & Hygiene Management: Develop and implement the Group Occupational Health & Hygiene programme across MAHB and its subsidiaries.
• Exposure Control & Workplace Health: Develop and implement controls to reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards such as noise, dust, chemicals, vibration and heat stress.
• Employee Wellbeing & Fitness for Duty: Manage the Fitness for Duty programme to ensure employees are physically and mentally fit to perform their work safely.
• Emergency Health Response & Compliance: Coordinate occupational health support during workplace incidents and medical emergencies; monitor compliance with occupational health legislation.

Manager - Group Safety (Occupational Health & Hygiene)

• Lead the development and manage centralized safety data, performance dashboards, and coordinate mid-level regulatory and administrative compliance across the Group to support the Governance & Assurance pillar.

Essential Position Functions

1. Occupational Health & Hygiene Management

• Develop and implement the Group Occupational Health & Hygiene programme across MAHB and its subsidiaries.
• Conduct health risk assessments to identify and control biological, chemical, physical and ergonomic hazards.
• Monitor workplace health programmes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

2. Exposure Control & Workplace Health

• Develop and implement controls to reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards such as noise, dust, chemicals, vibration and heat stress.
• Review new projects, equipment and workplace changes to ensure health risks are considered during planning and implementation.
• Recommend practical solutions to improve workplace health and hygiene.

3. Employee Wellbeing & Fitness for Duty

• Manage the Fitness for Duty programme to ensure employees are physically and mentally fit to perform their work safely.
• Oversee medical surveillance, CHRA requirements and other occupational health programmes.
• Support initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, mental health and psychological safety.

4. Emergency Health Response & Compliance

• Coordinate occupational health support during workplace incidents and medical emergencies.
• Work closely with relevant departments, healthcare providers and regulatory authorities on occupational health matters.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health legislation and recommend improvements where necessary.
