Overview

OSK Holdings is looking for an experienced Group Legal Manager to support the Head of Legal to oversee and ensure that all legal functions are carried out efficiently and effectively and to ensure a smooth workflow within the OSK Group.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to the Group and Management on all legal, contractual and operational matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, finalize and advise on all transactional legal documents/agreements, particularly those relating to commercial arrangements involving the Group, project management, land acquisitions, construction contracts, and tenancy agreements.
• Oversee and manage the dispute resolution portfolio involving the Group of Companies and its officers, and supervise junior team members working on this portfolio.
• Prepare necessary reports and legal updates for consideration of senior management/Board of Directors.
• Review and update policies and procedures for Group Legal to ensure proper and efficient management of the Group’s legal matters and mitigation of legal and compliance risk.
• Coordinate and work with external parties such as lawyers and advisers on preparation of briefs and all relevant legal documents in connection with the dispute resolution portfolio.
• Represent the Group in various legal/corporate exercises undertaken by or in which the Group and/or its subsidiaries or related companies are involved.
• Observe and comply with all Acts, laws, articles of associations, rules and regulations pertaining to and/or affecting the Company’s business, and stay conversant with statutory updates as required.
• Be familiar with and update management on current Acts, laws, rules and regulations and other statutory modifications and reenactments as may be introduced.
• Perform and coordinate ad hoc (legal) projects for the Group as required.

Qualifications

• A practicing lawyer with a Degree in Law (e.g., LLB).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant legal experience in a consulting or corporate setting, with banking advisory experience required.
• Exposure in Property & Construction is highly preferred.
