Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.

Manager - General Insurance Claims

Claims Operations (Supporting Hong Kong)

  • Processing General Insurance (Non-Motor) Claims includes, verifying claim documentation, evaluating claim eligibility, determining coverage parameters, and calculating appropriate claim settlements.

  • The ultimate objective is to facilitate a streamlined and accurate claims handling process, ensuring prompt and equitable resolutions for a diverse range of non-motor insurance policies in Hong Kong.

We will count on you to:

  • Adjudication and processing of claims (General Insurance) within turnaround time.

  • Ensure computed claims settlement and verified reimbursements from insurers are valid.

  • Diligently monitor and follow-up on unsettled claims with insurers and/or outstanding information from clients.

  • Interact with stakeholders to ensure proper execution of tasks.

  • Provide advice to clients on queries related to policy coverage, claims preparation and operation and other advisory role.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, presentation and competency in insurance claims management

  • Prepare claims statistic report on a monthly basis include, updating the documentation processes.

  • Proactively identify problems with the team or client and provide solutions.

  • Participate in project initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.

What you need to have:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field

  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in General Insurance claims

  • Experienced managing a team, either as a Team Lead or Team Manager.

  • Good work ethics with high level of integrity, detailed oriented, compliant and process driven

  • Ability to read Traditional Chinese

  • Have experience in handling Property or Liability Claims processing

  • Experienced in training juniors in technical claims processing

  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges

  • Excellent coordination skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholder
