JOB SUMMARY

This role leads the Finance Solutions Unit, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Solutions under the Digital Enterprise Solutions Department. It focuses on managing and supporting technology portfolios to ensure system health, performance, and alignment with business requirements, while leading project implementations and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver successful solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide maintenance support in the technology portfolio ensuring systems healthiness and performance meet SLA particularly in financial application solutions.
  • Administers, monitors and regulates platform components of the systems, covering aspects of application related components and integration with other internal and external systems.
  • Assess and implement a system improvement plan to ensure reduction of incidents/problems and improve system stability and performance with appropriate preventive and proactive action in place.
  • Understand business requirements, drive analysis, support and assess gaps, impacts and requirements on application/solution supported.
  • Manage project and solution deliveries in alignment with business requirements. Explore and implement enterprise-wide technology enablement in accordance with business strategy and the latest technologies.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of solutions in meeting user’s requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure projects and solutions are implemented in accordance with the specifications and appropriate use of technology and methodology.
  • Perform market research and gap analysis on potential solutions and provide recommendations to the business.
  • Establish a good working relationship within EPF which include the users and management to facilitate problem solving and ensure project implementation success.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors and advisors/consultants in delivering the technology portfolio.
  • Prepare a yearly financial budget that includes the projects and application maintenance budgets.
  • Ensure required documentation is done completely with good quality.
  • Conduct periodic project assessments/reviews to ensure adherence to governance framework, security controls and architectural standards.

Application Management

  • Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise IT applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and standards. Manage application efficiencies, support ITIL practices, and handle incident and problem management.
  • Collaborate with departments on new initiatives and system improvements. Ensure compliance with audit processes, manage releases through CAB reviews, and support Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning.

Project / Change Management

  • Oversee application project implementation, change requests, financial management (CAPEX and OPEX), manage project resources, ensuring delivery within cost, timeline, and scope. Handle issues, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure setup, application integration, testing (SIT and UAT), and architecture design. Align business requirements with solutions, assist with business cases, RFPs, and technical specifications. Propose system enhancements and ensure quality delivery.

Supplier Management

  • Work with suppliers on IT project development, system troubleshooting, and managing delivery quality. Participate in reviewing and evaluating supplier solutions through RFP/negotiation processes and assist in preparing necessary project documents.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, conduct regular system performance reviews, and collaborate with vendors on improvement plans to ensure comprehensive assessments for vendor and solution selection.

People Development

  • Work closely with the supervisor, providing leadership and support to the team, ensuring clear communication and achieving EPF vision, mission, and goals.
  • Manage and guide the team, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for career development and meeting job responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field, recognized by the Government from any accredited local or international higher learning institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in developing and supporting financial applications, particularly in SAP ECC6, SAP BW, SAP DM, SAP BPC, and other financial applications.
  • Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, particularly in RICEFW, BAPI, BADI, and the enhancement framework, is essential.
  • SAP certification with S/4 HANA implementation experience OR Oracle Fusion certification and implementation experience is an advantage. Possess a strong knowledge of ERP/Financial modules and functionalities i.e. AP, GL, AR, Fixed Asset, Procurement, Financial Reporting etc.
  • Familiar with ERP/Financial processes, routing and approval flow i.e. payment process, procurement process etc.
  • Knowledgeable in ERP/Financial integration approaches and methodologies with external systems.

General Skill

  • Display strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Must be a detail-oriented team leader who can lead the team, communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to reach a shared goal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and BM. Proficiency in English is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities. Able to perform under pressure for a tight deadline.
  • Proactively provide recommendations for improvement and be available for tasks beyond regular hours when needed.

Core Skills

  • Proficient in various ERP/Financial modules and functionalities.
  • Working knowledge on project management methodologies and business analysis techniques.
  • Experienced in designing and developing process flows, user journeys and wireframes.
  • Experienced in integrating apps with enterprise backend systems, database (MS SQL Server & Oracle), Business Process Management (BPM) or via API (REST).
  • Well-versed in Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
