Manager – Finance

About the role

Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad is seeking a Manager - Finance to join their team in Shah Alam, Selangor. This full-time role is responsible for leading the company's financial accounting and reporting activities, playing a crucial part in supporting the overall business objectives.

What you'll be doing

1. Monthly & Year-End Closing
   Ensure all transactions are accurately captured in a timely manner. Prepare monthly, quarterly, management, and financial reports within 5 working days.
2. Prepare AD reports and slide presentations as required.
3. Prepare and ensure the submission of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) in accordance with Group guidelines.
4. Ensure all related account transactions are posted accurately and in compliance with accounting standards to facilitate effective management analysis and reporting.
5. Handle audit adjustments, queries, and journal postings in SAP when necessary.
6. Ensure revenue and costs are captured accurately and on time, adhering to SOPs and trading terms.

1. Forecasting & Budgeting
   Prepare and ensure timely submission of AMP/Forecast for all Auto Retail companies.

1. Taxation
   Review the Tax Information Package (TIP) and conduct expense analysis for Auto Retail companies.
2. Perform SST reconciliation, prepare returns, and ensure submission to the SST portal, including payment to KASTAM.

1. Commissions & Incentives
   Check and verify commission and incentive calculations based on sales and aftersales schemes.
2. Update risk status quarterly in the Q-Radar System.
3. Update CROP status/data and coordinate with relevant company PICs.

1. SAP System & Compliance
   Serve as IT backup for all SAP-related accounting matters, especially for new projects, sales or service campaigns, and government compliance (e.g., MFRS, SST, GST, e-Invoice).
2. Lead and support new projects as assigned by the company.

1. Other Responsibilities
   Perform any ad-hoc tasks or duties that fall within the job scope as instructed by the superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar finance manager or senior accountant role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide data-driven insights
• Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proactive and adaptable, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
