Job summary

Dexcom Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a seasoned Facilities Engineer to lead utilities engineering for its manufacturing site and to build a capable team.

You will drive reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across utility systems, partnering with the Facilities Director to shape long-term capital planning and site strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or site operations.
• Prior people management experience.
• Knowledge of medical devices standards (GMP, GDP, ISO) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reliable, efficient, compliant and safe operation of all facilities utility systems in the factory.
• Drive facilities engineering programs with latest best practices.
• Uphold ethics and compliance with company standards.
• Ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance on projects.
• Be a member of the Facilities Engineering Leadership Team steering long-term strategies.
• Collaborate with Facilities Director on long-term inputs.
• Set direction for Facilities Engineering and communicate with team and leadership.
• Manage suppliers’ performance and quality specs for utilities.
• Oversee site audits and improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain maintenance objectives and facilities strategy.
• Lead annual capital budgeting and 5-year capital plans; mentor staff.
• Drive operational excellence, change and continuous improvement.

An exciting role to support the continuous growth of the company. This position will play a key role in leading the entire utilities engineering of the facilities. Opportunity to lead a team supporting entire factory that has the potential for tremendous knowledge growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the reliable, efficient, complaint and safe operations of all facilities utility systems in the factory.
• Drives the facilities engineering programs for Dexcom Facilities utilising the latest practises.
• Maintains a high regards for ethics and ensure compliance to all company’s standards.
• Drives project compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Serves as a member of the Facilities Engineering Leadership Team involved in driving long term strategies for the organization.
• Partners with the Facilities Director to provide the relevant inputs regarding long term strategies.
• Sets direction for the Facilities Engineering organization and provides communication to team and leadership.
• Manages suppliers’ performance and provides strategic direction for improvement Manages the quality specifications for facilities related to utilities.
• Manages the execution of audits on site.
• Ex Customer, external certification etc.
• Implements and maintains overall maintenance objectives and initiatives to support facilities strategy.
• Responsible for the development of annual capital budget and 5-year capital long range plan Manages individual contributors with emphasis on personal development.
• Drivers’ operational excellence, change and continuous improvement within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and or Master’s Degree Engineering related field with a minimum of 5-years work experience in manufacturing or site operations Prior people management experience (whether formal or informal, such a leading projects) is required.
• Good knowledge in medical devices standards and practises is an added advantage.
• Ex GMP, GDP, and related ISO standards.
