Manager, Export Operations

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing and managing the export operations of an assigned business category primary focus as contact person with external stakeholders (assigned customers, oversea team), not limited to communication and monitoring of inventory, shipment, compliance, documentation, problem resolution and coordination between intra/inter-department towards a smooth operation of the businesses.
• Lead the monthly compilation and preparation of Customer Demand Forecasts (CDF) and collaborate closely with the factory production planner to align production schedules with demand. Proactively identify and address potential disruptions, ensuring seamless continuity of the export business.
• Responsible for improving performance, productivity and efficiency through the implementation of effective Operational SOP
• Effective project planning, resource allocation, team leadership, budget management, risk management, communication, and post-project evaluation. Accountable for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget and meets the desired quality standards while mitigating risks and managing change effectively.
• Establish, to lead and to coach a team that manages export operation in the assigned business category as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in export operations, international logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of export regulations and international trade compliance.
• Experience with customs documentation, freight forwarding, and working with logistics providers.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for dealing with vendors, clients, and authorities.
• Ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
