ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Energy managers regulate an organization's energy use by examining its current use of energy, setting goals for future energy use, implementing new energy-saving measures, and maintaining all energy production and distribution apparatuses.
• Analyze and recommend revision of Energy Environment and Green Airport policies / future policies that includes the exploration and proposal for right analytical techniques and maintenance tools in ensuring system efficiency and cost-effective in the delivery of stipulated service levels to customers
• Ensure that energy and environment management operations are supportive of the instructional goals of the MAHB, Maintain liaison with the Maintenance/Operations department in order to provide optimum facility comfort while reducing energy consumption levels.
• Recommend and Develop policies directed toward energy conservation and Green Airports and develop long-range plans for implementing innovations.
• Develop improvement plans to ensure the best operation and energy equipment maintenance and pursue an aggressive program to reduce MAHB costs for energy and utilities
• Propose develop training options and/or improvement plans to ensure the best operation and energy equipment maintenance and pursue energy-saving measures to reduce MAHB utility costs for Energy and Environment.
• Implement the policies established by National and International (ACI, etc) in the area of energy conservation and environment, provide regular reports as to the overall effectiveness of the energy and environment management program.
• Propose and improve operational efficiency, strategic O&M plan, i.e., maintenance strategies, business plan, regulatory/acts, and annual operational performance plans for airports infrastructure( Electrical, water, waste,) and utilities.
• Provide technical advisory and guidance based on Subject Matter Expert on Energy and Environment system,
• Enforces full compliancewith the relevant internal and local laws, regulations, legislations, and acts.

SKILLS

• Knowledgeable in Energy Management.
• Experience with energy audit for airports, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Experience in energy performance measurement and verification and frameworks.
• Mastery in energy and Net Zero Carbon emission Scope 2 accounting.
• Knowledge of program / project management of energy savings measures.
• Knowledge in energy related training program development.
• Familiar with developing policy and master plan.
• Knowledge of current best practices in energy efficiency measure.

External

• Recognised Degree in preferably with Engineering (Electrical / Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronics)
• Master degree would be an added advantage

UNIQUE REQUIREMENT

• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia
• Have valid practicing certificate for Registered Energy Manager Type 2 with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) is an added advantage.
