Job summary

The HEINEKEN Company is seeking a Manager - Direct Material Procurement to lead the material strategy for raw and packaging across Malaysia and Singapore. You will work with local, regional, and global stakeholders to secure supply, drive cost competitiveness, and deliver sustainable value for brewing operations.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in Procurement or Category Management, preferably FMCG/manufacturing.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for raw and packaging materials across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing: supplier selection, negotiations, contract management.
• Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers; drive performance and sustainability.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Brewing, Manufacturing, Finance for uninterrupted supply.
• Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities; drive regional/global sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance via KPIs and governance; drive continuous improvement.
• Champion procurement governance and responsible sourcing in decisions.
• Foster collaboration and innovation across internal teams and supplier partnerships.

As a Manager - Direct Material Procurement, you will lead the procurement strategy for raw and packaging materials across Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring security of supply while delivering sustainable value, innovation, and cost competitiveness. Working closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies that support our brewing operations and long-term business ambitions.

• Develop and execute category strategies for raw and packaging materials across Malaysia and Singapore, aligned with business priorities and procurement objectives.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management to deliver value, cost optimisation, and supply continuity.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers while driving supplier performance, innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Brewing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and other business functions to ensure uninterrupted supply and support operational excellence.
• Identify market trends, supply risks, and opportunities to strengthen procurement strategies and mitigate business risks.
• Drive procurement transformation initiatives, category harmonisation, and the implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance through meaningful KPIs, governance, and regular business reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
• Champion procurement best practices, compliance, and governance while delivering commercial value to the business.
• Support sustainability initiatives by incorporating responsible sourcing principles into procurement decisions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across internal teams and supplier partnerships.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement or Category Management, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
• Strong understanding of direct materials procurement, supply markets, risk management, and category strategy development.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and organisational levels.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
