Job summary

AIA Digital+ is seeking a seasoned application and solution architect with enterprise architecture expertise to lead and design solutions for Group IT strategy. Responsibilities include governance, data lake/warehouse design, AI/ML solutions, and coordinating with regional teams to deliver end-to-end architectures across Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance, Investments and ESG.

Lead offshore teams, manage risks, ensure audit compliance, and drive transitions to BAU while aligning with Group IT

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience including enterprise architecture and solution delivery.
• 5+ years in leadership roles within multi-national context.
• Experience in data lake/warehouse implementation in financial/insurance sectors.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services such as Databricks, ADLS, and Data Factory.

About the Role

Seeking a seasoned application and solution architect with enterprise architecture expertise and a strong technical background to lead and design solutions for AIA Group functions aligned with enterprise architecture and Group IT strategy.

Additionally supervising project tasks and enforcing solution design governance for key initiatives including end-to-end solution design, infrastructure and data architecture for Finance including Treasury, Actuarial, Risk & Compliance, HR, Investments and ESG.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management (30%)

• Ensure key stakeholders are engaged, participating in delivery, and have their needs met upon project completion
• Proactively collaborate with various teams such as GIS, CIS, GCI, BCM and GIO to align solutions with Group IT strategy and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Complete and gain timely approvals of necessary governance documents
• Onboard and work with various development teams for design, build and testing.
• Lead and convene business and technology governance forums.

Deliverables and Responsibilities (70%)

• Hands-on technology architecture design & implementation in alignment with Enterprise Architecture practices & Group IT strategy:

- Data lake / data warehouse / Datamart / ETL/ELT solution integrating data source from internal/external & regional/local business units,

-AI/ML Solutions

• Proven track record of architecting, estimating, and leading projects end-to-end while meeting customer expectations, with solid solution design experience, business expertise, and IT knowledge
• The role primarily focuses on project-based IT solution design roadmap plans that factor technology investments and risks, while providing value to the organization by improving business process and simplifying architecture
• Follow system development life cycle, documents all the necessities (e.g., Functional Specification, testing plan & result, etc.) and ensure audit requirements are met
• Additionally, project support through solution design and implementation; adhere to project timeline
• Contribute to project preparation and estimation
• Drive the implementation of solution & transition to BAU operation mode
• Provide guidance to offshore development and support team, coordinating with other Group IT teams & vendors, etc.
• Achieving audit compliance for team activities & deliverables
• Manage project risks and issues, Drive for resolution

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience in IT including enterprise architecture, AI solutions, data, solution & platform architecture, and solution delivery with minimal 5+ years in leadership roles.
• 5 years’ relevant experience in data lake, data warehouse, and data-mart implementation; Preferably in Insurance and/or financial industry
• Require solid experience in technologies, provisioning application services in Azure cloud infrastructure (e.g., Databricks, SQL, ADLS, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Copilot etc.)
• Experience working with business partners and digital product owners to understand specific requirements that drive the need for IT solutions
• Have regional support and leading remote development team experience in a multi-national company
• Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, lead complex engagements, attract new business, build team, and build lasting professional relationships with senior executives
• Able to operate effectively in complex program environment and support stakeholder needs when required:
