Thomson Hospitals is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to lead strategic initiatives and manage corporate development for business expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in the healthcare sector. This role involves conducting market analysis, negotiating partnerships, and collaborating with senior management to formulate corporate strategies that ensure long-term sustainability.
Assist with the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic opportunities for business expansion, including partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, greenfield / brownfield developments, and alliances.
Conduct thorough market research, industry / competitor analysis, and due diligence to assess potential opportunities and risks.
Prepare business cases, presentations, memorandums, financial / valuation models, and presentations to support decision-making processes related to corporate development initiatives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to negotiate and structure delas that align with TMC Life Sciences’ strategic objectives and enhance its position in the market
Work closely with the senior leadership from TMC Life Sciences and Thomson Medical Group toformulate and refine corporate strategies that support the organisation’s mission, vision and values.
Conduct strategic assessments and analysis of industry trends, patient demographics, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and strategic priorities.
Develop and manage execution of strategic plans, initiatives, and objectives to drive organizational performance, enhance patient experience, and ensure long-term sustainability.
Organise workshops amongst senior leaders and collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate the vision, goals, and progress of strategic initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvements.
3. Special Projects:
Manage and execution of special projects, which may include initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, improve clinical outcomes, or expand service offerings.
Establish project goals, timelines, and resource allocations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to Assistant Director, Corporate Finance and senior leadership from TMC Life Sciences and Thomson Medical Group, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and areas for attention.
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track and within budget.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Healthcare Administration, or any related field
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate development, investment banking, strategy, or related fields, preferably with a focus on healthcare
Exposure to regional markets in Southeast Asia (e.g. Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia) recommended, but not essential
Strong understanding of healthcare landscape is a plus
Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex corporate finance projects, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional business teams, synthesize information, analyze data and develop actionable insights
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of resilience, adaptability, and strategy agility
