Job description

  • Supervise the corporate assurance function for the assigned portfolio, involving coordinating a centralized focus on scope and risk assessment for the respective units within SDPB. This is to ensure appropriate and consistent focus on risk areas in the review work
  • Manage review responsibilities through management of work teams (from planning to closure and follow-up) in accordance to GACD methodology and practices to achieve identified objectives
  • Lead the review teams in more complex and high-profile assignments/ project task / special review/ business advisory / joint venture review to achieve GCAD’s objectives
  • Implement the development requirements (review practices and employee development) for the assigned GCA team and supervise the administrative functions for the efficient operation of the GCA work

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop or being involved in the development (as determined by superior) of the annual GCA plan and budgets for the GCA function based on the set of formulated review strategies in review of the business risks of SDPB
  • Manage the end to end execution of the assigned job portfolio based on the review strategies formulated in the annual GCA plan and in accordance with GCA review methodology
  • Review and approve work programs (including developing work programs for complex reviews) and ensure that all approved work programs are appropriately updated as guidelines for executions
  • Assess review objectives ad scope to ensure that the review assignment is performed efficiently and in accordance with GCA review methodologies and review strategies formulated
  • Perform and lead special, investigative and/or confidential reviews
  • To provide guidance and to support team members throughout the audit review

Job Responsibilities (Con't)

  • Review and ensure that all issues and recommendations are of the highest standards, appropriately profiled and effectively communicated with the clients and GCA Head, verbally and by way of reports
  • Review and approve the working papers in accordance with International Professional Practices Framework
  • Ensure effective closure of all issues reviewed and reported are re-assess Management responses to GCAD recommendations for effective and timely implementation of agreed action plan
  • To obtain feedback from auditees on the performance of the audit review
  • Highlight to the VP LL or Head, GCA when discovers any potential high-risk areas which were not factored in the audit plan
  • Undertake all necessary ad-hoc and periodical reporting relating to GCA work in the related portfolio of work including achievement of the annual GCA Plan, key findings and recommendation requiring further profiling to the GCA Head and relevant Management
