MANAGER - COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT, AMANAHRAYA TRUSTEES BERHAD

POSITION: MANAGER (COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT), AMANAHRAYA TRUSTEES BERHAD

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION

  1. Responsible for ensuring Information Technology Compliance related matters are compliant with the relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, industry standards and best practices.
  2. Assist the Head of Department (HOD) in providing ongoing support on Information Technology Compliance to the Company.
  3. Assist in ensuring compliance of the Company with the relevant laws and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

  1. Act as primary point of contact for Information Technology Compliance related matters of the Company.
  2. Responsible for overseeing and managing Information Technology Compliance activities within the organization.
  3. Execute the compliance program related to Information Technology Compliance and deliver continuous improvement process.
  4. Provide assistance and support in matters relating to Information Technology Compliance to ensure in line with the industry standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  5. Contribute to the assessment and development related to Information Technology Compliance processes and controls.
  6. Stay abreast of emerging compliance issues and regulatory changes in Information Technology Compliance including cyber security developments and update compliance programs as needed.
  7. Manage and coordinate the incident management response including detection response, corrective actions, preventive measures and reporting.
  8. Monitor and report on the compliance with information technology, as well as enforcement within the organisation. Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and risk assessments.
  9. Assist the HOD in managing the daily operations of CD and handling any arising issues or problems effectively and efficiently.
  10. Review all compliance reports, letters, proposals, forms and other related documents and ensure their proper and timely execution.
  11. Assist in executing the information technology, compliance and cyber security awareness to all staff.
  12. Identify and evaluate compliance risks related to IT operations and systems.
  13. Collaborate with IT and business units to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  14. Assist and participate in the Company’s annual recovery testing exercise on systems and applications.
  15. Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems, processes, and controls to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
  16. Work closely with IT, audit, legal, and other business units to ensure compliance is integrated into all IT processes.
  17. Assist in providing analysis and reinforcement to ensure ART has effective and adequate internal control.
  18. Assist the HOD in internal/external audit and risk related matters for the Company.
  19. Carry out any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
  20. Attend meetings/briefings with any related parties e.g. UTMC, FM, Issuers, BNM, SC solicitors and/or financial institutions.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  1. Degree in IT/ Computer Science/ Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognized university/college and/or professional qualification.
  2. At least seven (7) years’ experience in IT compliance, risk management or a related field.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  1. Knowledgeable and have a high level of interest in the capital market industry.
  2. Well versed with the Capital Markets industry with relevant rules and regulations, Securities Commission Guidelines and Bursa Malaysia Rules.
  3. Possesses good interpersonal skills and able to convincingly communicate with all levels of people.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex compliance issues and develop effective solutions.
  5. Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.
