Your Day-to-Day

  • Oversee and manage the company’s regulatory compliance program related to lending and financing activities.
  • Monitor compliance with laws such as AMLA, Financial Services Act (FSA), and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and enforce internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Ensure timely reporting and submission to regulatory bodies (e.g., KPKT/KPDNHEP/BNM, SSM, etc.).
  • Lead internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate and monitor customer KYC, CDD, and EDD processes.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of loan documentation and disbursement processes for compliance gaps.
  • Investigate and report suspicious activities; prepare and file STRs.
  • Train and educate staff on compliance requirements, including AML/CFT programs.
  • Serve as the main liaison with regulators and external auditors on compliance matters.
  • Keep management and the Board informed of key compliance risks and developments.
  • Support product and business teams to ensure new products/services are compliant before launch.

Requirement

  • In-depth knowledge of lending regulations, AMLA, and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines.
  • Familiar with regulatory reporting systems (e.g., MyAML, FRS reporting).
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks in financial services.
  • Able to design and implement company-wide compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections.
  • Skilled in drafting and enforcing SOPs and governance documents.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
