ABOUT THE ROLE
The incumbent will oversee:
The Regional Digital Marketing and Communications Lead for Asia will spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge digital marketing strategies and communications initiatives across the region. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing dynamic social media operations, orchestrating high-impact campaigns, and ensuring PETRONAS upholds an unparalleled digital presence to deeply engage and captivate consumers. Moreover, this position will be instrumental in launching the region's inaugural in-house agency, which will serve as the cornerstone for producing marketing assets and regional campaigns, while expertly tailoring materials to resonate with local markets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1)Strategic Leadership
- .Orchestrate the conception and execution of a visionary digital marketing and communications strategy tailored for the diverse landscapes of Asia.
- Serve as the strategic linchpin for regional marketing initiatives, ensuring seamless alignment with the distinct dynamics and demands of local markets.
2)Social Media Management
- Manage social media channels across Asia, overseeing content creation, campaign execution, audience engagement, and performance analytics.
- Architect powerful digital narratives that elevate PETRONAS’ brand visibility and shape compelling consumer perceptions across the digital ecosystem.
3)Agency Leadership
- Establish and manage Asia’s first in-house agency, supervising a team of six creative professionals, including copywriters, content creators, and graphic designers.
- Uphold a gold standard of creative excellence and brand cohesion across all regional markets, serving as the central hub for marketing output in Asia.
4)Campaign Development
- Develop regional marketing campaigns to be cascaded to individual countries.
- Strategically localize creative assets to resonate with target audiences while preserving alignment with overarching regional goals.
5)Performance Analysis
- Leverage advanced analytics tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush to rigorously assess campaign performance and digital impact.
- Translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies that maximize ROI, streamline execution, and deliver measurable business value.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, and team management roles.
Skills
- Strong expertise in SEO, PPC, content marketing, and social media strategy.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in performance tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights platforms.
- Experience in PR, media relations, and crisis communications is an advantage.
