Job summary
A leading retail company in Selangor is seeking a Marketing Manager to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, manage promotions and events. Campaign Management
- Develop and implement creative and results-oriented A&P campaign proposals that align with brand strategy and business objectives.
- Coordinate campaign planning from concept development to execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholders across different departments and external vendors.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze effectiveness, and provide actionable insights and post-campaign reports.
- Continuously optimize campaign approaches based on consumer insights, competitor analysis, and market trends.
Promotion Management
- Plan, manage, and oversee the execution of promotional activities across multiple touchpoints particularly print and in-store POSM.
- Ensure all promotional materials and executions are delivered on time, within brand guidelines, and maintain consistent messaging across channels.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to maximize promotional visibility and customer engagement.
- Track promotion outcomes and measure ROI to refine future initiatives.
Event Management
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute on-ground activations, product launches, roadshows, and customer engagement events in line with marketing campaigns.
- Handle end-to-end event management including vendor negotiations, logistics, staffing, permits, and production.
- Ensure seamless execution of events that reflect brand identity and deliver memorable customer experiences.
- Evaluate event success metrics, collect feedback, and apply learnings to improve future activations.
Budget Management
- Prepare and manage campaign, promotion, and event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track actual spend versus planned budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective measures when needed.
- Negotiate with vendors and agencies to maximize value without compromising quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in campaign, promotion, and event management, preferably within Retail, FMCG, or QSR industries.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful integrated marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Strong experience in managing in-store POSM, ATL/BTL promotions, and large-scale events/activations.
- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills with the ability to deliver cost-efficient yet high-quality outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track ROI, measure campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and agencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with marketing analytics tools.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin (read & write) is an added advantage for smoother communication with stakeholders.
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours when required (events, roadshows, activations).
