A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Manager for Business Continuity Management. This role involves assessing operational risks, developing recovery strategies, and enhancing the Business Continuity Programme. Candidates should have a degree related to the field and at least 8 years of experience, with a focus on crisis management. The ideal candidate will also have professional certification in Business Continuity Management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide communication on BCM policy to ensure implementation effectiveness.

The Person
  • Preferably age between 30 and 40 years.
  • Possess a Degree in Accounting/Business Continuity/Business/Economics or equivalent. Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (DRI/BCI/BCMI) will be an added advantage.
  • At least with 8 years working experience, preferably 2 years’ experience in Business CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT
The Job
  • Conduct and facilitate workshops in assessing the operational risk exposure in order to identify the types of extended disruptions that would critically impact the strategic business unit/corporate divisions in continuing operations.
  • Assess the criticality of key business and operational areas and impact of such downtimes to recommend appropriate recovery strategies that minimise the losses to the company in the event of a crisis /extended disruption.
  • Develop relevant Business Continuity Plans for strategic business unit/corporate divisions in addressing the speci¬fic business continuity requirements to enable effective recovery in the event of a crisis/extended disruption.
  • Review and enhance the Business Continuity Programme and Framework of the Group to align with current Emergency Response Plans and for adoption of best practices/industry and regulatory standards.
  • Provide adequate communication on the BCM policy and methodology in order to ensure the effectiveness of BCM implementation within the Group.
