Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad (ICBC Malaysia) seeks Manager/Assistant Manager, HR & Administration – Compensation & Benefits to support payroll, benefits administration and statutory reporting. You will ensure accurate payroll data, assist with annual appraisals, and provide salary benchmarking insights while liaising with internal departments and external agencies.
The role requires 3–5 years in HR, with focus on C&B or payroll, knowledge of Malaysian labour laws,
Assist in managing compensation and benefits (C&B) functions, including payroll administration, staff benefits, tax reporting, and statutory contributions.
Verify monthly payroll data to ensure timely and accurate remittance of statutory contributions such as Income Tax, EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.
Assist in organizing annual and special performance appraisal exercises and compile related performance data and results.
Participate in salary benchmarking and provide recommendations to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Gather and analyze compensation and benefits data from the banking industry for management review.
Administer staff group insurance, including updates on staff movement, policy renewals, and premium adjustments.
Maintain and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and generate HR reports regularly.
Handle employee inquiries related to salary, bonus, allowances, and welfare matters.
Assist in compiling HR statistical data and reports in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in handling immigration matters for expatriate employees, including visa applications, work permit renewals, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 2 years specializing in compensation and benefits or payroll management.
Familiar with Malaysian labour laws and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and Income Tax).
Experience in handling work permit or expatriate documentation is an advantage.
Meticulous, responsible, with strong numerical sense and confidentiality awareness.
Good communication and coordination skills, able to liaise effectively with internal departments and external agencies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems (e.g., payroll or HRIS software).
Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
