Job summary

Maybank is seeking a seasoned professional to manage the AI risk governance programme, including governance processes, reporting, and risk metrics across multiple functions. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement, and align AI use with enterprise risk appetite.

The role requires strong experience in regulatory environments, governance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure compliant AI implementation across the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in governance, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience in regulated environments, preferably financial services.
• Experience in governance operations, risk reporting, stakeholder coordination, and process management.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into scalable operational processes, reporting, and oversight mechanisms.
• Good understanding of AI concepts and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AI risk management programme, including governance processes, inventory management, reporting, issue tracking, and monitoring.
• Establish and maintain capabilities for enterprise-wide visibility and oversight of AI use cases and solutions.
• Develop capabilities to monitor AI risk exposure, governance compliance, KRIs, risk issues, and remediation activities.
• Coordinate governance committees, entities and countries, management reporting, audit activities, regulatory engagements, and stakeholder interactions.
• Coordinate AI enablement, training and awareness initiatives to support governance requirements.
• Evaluate AI governance tools, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and control.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen AI governance operations and reporting through continuous improvement and data-driven insights.

Manage daily operations and continuous improvement of the AI risk management programme, including governance, monitoring, reporting, coordination with entities and countries, and organisation-wide implementation of requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AI risk management programme, including governance processes, inventory management, reporting, issue tracking, and monitoring
• Establish and maintain capabilities that support enterprise-wide visibility and oversight of of AI use cases, and solutions across the organisation
• Establish and maintain operational processes to monitor AI risk exposure, governance compliance, key risk indicators (KRIs), risk issues, and remediation activities
• Coordinate governance committees, entities and countries, management reporting, audit activities, regulatory engagements, and related stakeholder interactions
• Coordinate AI enablement, training and awareness initiatives to support consistent implementation of AI governance requirements
• Evaluate and assess AI governance tools, workflows, and automation capabilities to improve efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness
• Identify opportunities to strengthen AI governance operations and reporting through continuous improvement, data-driven insights, and operational enhancements

Qualifications & Experience

• Experienced in governance, operational risk, technology risk, cybersecurity risk, compliance, control management or related functions, with strong reporting, process management, and stakeholder coordination capabilities
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably within financial services
• Experience in governance operations, risk reporting, stakeholder coordination, and process management
• Experience in governance, programme management, risk reporting, issue management, and the development of governance processes, dashboards, workflows, and management information
• Able to translate governance requirements into scalable operational processes, reporting, and oversight mechanisms
• Good understanding of AI and related concepts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk information, identify emerging trends, and provide clear management insights
• Ability to coordinate across business, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and audit stakeholders to drive implementation and adherence to governance requirements
