Your new role

• Collaborate with external accountants, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions and compliance.
• Review and verify deliverables from external accountants, including general ledgers, financial statements, and tax computations.
• Generate monthly internal management reports and operational metrics for presentation to management.
• Track and manage cash flow.
• Maintain organised financial records and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities as needed.
• Support budgeting and cost control processes across various departments.
• Handle operational matters with banks, including payments and account maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and other statutory obligations, while being familiar with MFRS/IFRS standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or auditing.
• Prior experience with Big Four firms or in the tech/startup sector is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax and accounting standards.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and capability to handle multiple tasks independently.
