Position Title: Sourcing Analyst
Position Location: Malaysia, Klang
Position Overview

The Global Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for ensuring supply, managing costs, and maintaining stewardship in support of our internal and external customers. Responsibilities include system management such as price updates, resolving invoice discrepancies, and vendor registration. The analyst will also support various projects and daily tasks related to material sourcing, usage tracking, forecasting, and price reconciliation. They may source their own materials to ensure value and supply assurance. The role focuses on day-to-day activities with opportunities for process improvements. The analyst reports to a senior sourcing team member.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  1. Transactional: Invoice resolution, system support.
  2. Sourcing Support: Act as the first contact with plants and suppliers to resolve payment issues, assist with requests for quotes, analyze bids, track volumes for rebates and contract compliance, perform spend analysis, ensure ERP system compliance, and assist with bid preparations.
  3. Sourcing: May manage own category sourcing.
  4. Additional Responsibilities: Adhere to sourcing policies and procedures, resolve invoice discrepancies promptly, and manage order quantities and volumes.
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; 2+ years experience in sourcing is a plus. Experience in a chemical company is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin for work.
  • Experience with S&OP, ERP, and payment systems; proficient in Microsoft Office; self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn.
  • Skills include problem solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and excellent written and verbal skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Training will be provided, including management training, system-specific training, and sourcing skills development.
  • Demonstrate competencies such as responsiveness to change, accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and self-management.
