Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP Corporate Controller, the Malaysian Site Controller will establish a robust control environment and promote a quality-focused culture. The role involves delivering accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory, tax, financial, and management reporting for the Malaysia site. Responsibilities include overseeing consolidation, general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, accruals, reconciliations, fixed assets, taxes, internal reporting, and leading audits. The position requires collaboration with corporate and local teams, ensuring proper recordkeeping, and managing personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage month-end close processes.
2. Oversee financial reporting and compliance.
3. Ensure tax and regulatory adherence.
4. Lead internal audits, SOX compliance, and external audits.
5. Manage treasury and cash flow.
6. Support business units to identify cost drivers and meet P&L targets.
7. Conduct financial flux analysis and provide insights.
8. Oversee revenue accounting and billing operations.
9. Manage outsourcing functions.
10. Provide policy guidance and stakeholder collaboration.
11. Implement process improvements.
12. Mentor and develop team members.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA, CIMA, CA, or ACCA preferred.
• 15-20 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a Big 4 firm and 8 years in leadership roles.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Industry experience in hardware manufacturing.
• Proven management of internal and outsourced teams.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP, MFRS).
• Knowledge of tax laws in Asia Pacific.
• Excellent business acumen and FP&A skills.
• Effective interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• High integrity and professionalism.
