Job summary

Asia Pacific Schools is seeking a Teacher (Malay) with experience in an international school for commencement January 2027. The role focuses on delivering the Malaysian National and international curricula, and developing high-quality teaching resources to support student learning in Malay.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's in Education or a related qualification, have at least three years of full-time IGCSE Malay experience, and be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Possess relevant bachelor’s degree in Education or bachelor’s degree with a post-graduate qualification in teaching.
• Minimum three (3) years’ full-time teaching IGCSE Malay in an international primary and secondary school.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Patient, responsible, and passionate about teaching.
• A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the department.
• Must be responsible for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Follow the policies and practices which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement, amazing learning and effective feedback.
• Establish a clear understanding of the importance and role of Malay in pupil development.
• Use data effectively to identify pupils underachieving and implement action plans.
• Work effectively as a Form Tutor as part of a Year Team Curriculum.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all pupils.
