A leading manufacturing company seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the management of equipment and facilities in George Town. This role includes conducting maintenance, ensuring EHS compliance, and liaising with government authorities. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills and relevant engineering qualifications, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
1. Oversee the management of equipment and facilities, including water systems & drainage, air conditioning, compressed air, exhaust systems, and wastewater management.
2. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, and life safety systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
3. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and repair costs.
4. Identify and resolve potential problems and hidden faults promptly.
5. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
6. Ensure the safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals and materials, complying with safety standards.
7. Enforce safety, health, and environmental (EHS) protocols, ensuring all machinery and facilities meet regulatory and company standards.
8. Take ownership of EHS compliance, adhering to workplace safety laws and environmental regulations.
9. Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize production downtime.
10. Act as the main liaison with government authorities such as DOE, BOMBA, and safety enforcement agencies for compliance, inspections, and audits.
11. Assist in internal and external audits related to facility maintenance, EHS, and regulatory compliance.
12. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including inspections and repairs.
13. Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, monitoring performance and making necessary adjustments.
14. Support the installation of new machinery and equipment.
15. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
16. Comply with regulatory and company standards, including OSHA and local laws.
17. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
18. Prepare maintenance reports and logs.
19. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
20. Communicate issues and concerns to superiors for corrective action.
21. Record and report discrepancies or malfunctions.
22. Handle work orders and preventive maintenance tasks efficiently.
23. Determine the necessity of machine repairs under management supervision.
24. Perform predictive maintenance by analyzing failures and planning adjustments and repairs.
25. Work from blueprints, manuals, sketches, and verbal instructions.
