About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at OKAYASU RUBBER (M) SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the company's production equipment and facilities. This is a full-time position based in Shah Alam, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and implement appropriate repair solutions

Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify potential problems and take proactive measures

Follow maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and equipment lifespan

Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain continuous operations

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on the overall condition of equipment

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and practices

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues

Knowledge on programmable logic controller (PLC), electrical and hydraulic system will be add advantage.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and drawings

Hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of production equipment and machinery

Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals

Good communication and collaboration skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
