Job summary

A manufacturing company in Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor, is seeking a technician to carryout repairs and preventive maintenance works for building facilities and equipment. The role involves ensuring all equipment is running efficiently and maintaining safety standards. Candidates should have a relevant engineering qualification and experience in machine repairs. This position requires shift rotation, and a minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• At least 3 Years of working experience in the related field, advantage for experience working in food industry.
• Basic technical knowledge of machine maintenance & repair work.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for equipment breakdown and timely resolution.
• Maintain all facility equipment.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Overview

Lam Soon – Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor

To carryout repairs and preventive maintenance works for building facilities, utility and plant machinery equipment. Ensure all the available equipment in good running condition.

Responsibilities

• 2. Result Orientation Responsible and attend any facility equipment breakdown, resolve the issue soonest possible and report to superior.
• To upkeep and maintain all facility equipment.
• 3. Planning Execution To be fully proactive & aware of occupational health and safety standards at workplace, ensure full compliance and also safeguarding oneself, colleagues, and the Company from any detrimental incidents.
• Assist superior in preventive maintenance plan, improvement project and cost saving activities.
• 5. Problem Solving To attend to any equipment breakdown as soon as possible during operation run.
• Attend trainings / courses provided by management for to enhance knowledge in related field.
• 7. Others Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
• Basic technical knowledge of machine maintenance & repair work
• Having experience in handling on site machine repair and welding work
• Experience in firefighting system is an added advantage
• Knowledge in motor & pump maintenance are an added advantage
• Must have an initiative and willing to learn
• Computer Literacy : Microsoft Excel and Words
• Able to work on shift rotation
• At least 3 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position, advantage for experience working in food industry
