Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment at our Port Dickson PME Plant. The role supports plant reliability, inventory control, and safety compliance while contributing to engineering projects and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment to minimize downtime
  • Execute maintenance tasks according to schedule and support plant initiatives and projects
  • Monitor equipment reliability and manage spare parts inventory
  • Conduct monthly stock counts and report inventory status to the Plant Manager
  • Maintain workshop housekeeping and implement 5S activities
  • Ensure safety compliance during all tasks, including work permit issuance and safety documentation
  • Manage in/out process of tools, parts, and equipment; ensure security of workshop assets
  • Respond to plant emergencies and participate in engineering projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Minimum diploma qualification or equivalent professional certificate
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance
  • Able to perform basic calculations and read engineering drawings
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting and maintenance practices
  • Strong organizational and safety awareness
