Qualifications

  • 3-5 years working experience in manufacturing plant with automation focus.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming, specifically Allen Bradley.
  • Knowledge in maintenance protocols and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure machine equipment is in good condition and free of damage.
  • Participate in Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Programs.
  • Advise management on equipment repair considerations.

Job description

Works on tasks that support projects, processes, programmes and understanding which are used within JM. Plans own work/activities over a weekly/monthly time frame across a small range of projects and tasks.Job title: Maintenance Technician

The role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Ensure machine equipment is in good condition, free of damage, high level of knowledge for damage detection and repair. Solving issues relating to maintenance procedures, plant or equipment for regular and critical equipment.
  • Good maintenance to ensure cost effective use of spare parts for each machine & equipment. Advise management on whether the equipment can be repaired by identifying the cause of the problem first.
  • Cycle time stabilization & reduction maintain minimum equipment breakdown and take corrective action against request breakdown repair request.
  • Understanding and adherence to environmental, safety and health policy, procedures and regulations issued by ESH Department and also to take care of own safety as well as working colleagues within the plant premises.
  • Participate in Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Programs to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role :

  • Possess Diploma/Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Proven experience in PLC and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley
  • PLC knowledge and programming in Allen Bradley PLC. RS Logix 5000 and other series.
  • Have 3 – 5 years working experience in manufacturing plant dedication to automation, electrical, Mechanical, electronic and robotic.
  • Possess good maintenance practices on implementation on good housekeeping, and 5S.
