About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Alor Gajah, Melaka. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production machinery and equipment. This is a full-time role and an integral part of our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
2. Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and technical issues quickly to minimise downtime
3. Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements
4. Documenting maintenance activities and equipment performance data
5. Collaborating with the production team to identify and address equipment-related issues
6. Providing technical support and guidance to production staff as needed
7. Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Technical diploma or certificate in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
