Ansell is looking for Maintenance Supervisor to be based in Melaka.

This position is responsible for engineering downtime, and machine efficiency. To do overtime if necessary to cover work that is urgent and requires quick attention. To carry out diligently and responsibly to all engineering and engineering related work assigned by the Manager at all time. To be proactive and analyze machine problems to determine root causes with a view to reduce future recurrence of the same problem. To carry out periodical maintenance on machines as per the manager’s instruction.

What your role will be in details?

You will be:

  • To carry out allocated tasks and duties, in particular general building services maintenance.
  • To undertake full servicing of boilers over the shutdown period.
  • Ensure smooth supply of plant utilities such as chilled water, compress air and water.
  • Responsible for the proper Maintenance of the HOT water boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, air compressors and other equipment requiring DOSH inspection.
  • Provide 1st line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples being the tightening of window hinges, maintenance of door handles, replacement of door frames, lock changing.
  • Be fully conversant and competent in the use of power tools to undertake fitting, plumbing and joinery tasks that may from time to time be required.
  • The unblocking of sinks, taps, toilets and waste pipes, and adjustment and rewashing of taps.
  • To undertake regular roofing inspections, and report any defects to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance servicing on all building systems and fixtures as allocated by the Facilities Supervisor.
  • To be conversant with Health & Safety requirements and to carry out duties as required
  • Be fully conversant with current and ongoing building Fire System infrastructure.
What you will bring?
  • AESP for Confined Space
  • Those with SPM/SPMV qualification or boilerman certificate with 2 years or related experience will also be considered.
  • Converse, write and read in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Able to troubleshoot machine problems with supervision.
  • Must have some of the trade skills such as welding, fabrication, plumbing, fitting, reading engineering drawings, replacing bearings, repairing fans, pumps and gearboxes.
  • Able to analyze problems and determine root-cause of problems.
  • Able to communicate with peers or superiors
