Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the upkeep of facility systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and performing audits. The ideal candidate should possess a mechanical or environmental qualification, have prior maintenance experience, and be capable of training staff on safety standards while also managing scheduled waste processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance.
• Familiar with local regulatory requirements (DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, SPAN).
• Forklift license is an added advantage.

Job description

Service and maintain compressors, air dryers, and chiller units.

Monitor and report on city water usage, pump house, sewage plant operations, pH levels, and chemical usage to ensure compliance with DOE standards.

Conduct internal wastewater and sewage water analysis and predictive maintenance on equipment.

Inspect factory sewage and waste storage areas to ensure DOE compliance.

Perform preventive maintenance on press machines, tooling machines, and barrel machines.

Conduct Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) audits across all departments.

Monitor waste parameters and coordinate external waste analysis.

Collect, record, and manage scheduled waste from production areas.

Prepare and submit monthly waste reports to DOE and maintain job maintenance records.

Oversee contract services for sewage treatment plants and fire protection systems.

Coordinate scheduled waste disposal every six months.

Renew regulatory licenses including BOMBA, DOSH, and SPAN.

Support internal and external audits for ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards.

Conduct scheduled waste treatment training and submit safety and health reports to DOSH.

Act as the OSH Coordinator by monitoring workplace safety and leading OSH-related meetings.

Deliver safety and OSH-related training sessions to staff.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests via the department’s WhatsApp group.

Operate forklift as needed and perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in facility maintenance and/or EHS compliance.

Familiar with local regulatory requirements (DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, SPAN).

Basic knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards.

Skilled in troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance.

Forklift license is an added advantage.

Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
