Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to provide technical guidance to engineering teams and top management, handle projects, installation and commissioning, and ensure new equipment is properly qualified with maintained drawings.

You will develop maintenance strategies, liaise with suppliers, support Safety & Health regulations, identify training needs, and promote leadership and teamwork while ensuring ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 compliance.

Qualifications

• Min Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Min 5 years working experience in related field.
• Able to work independently and a team player.
• Good leadership, communication, training, planning and organizing skills.
• Knowledge in AUTOCAD or other drawing software and able to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and top management.
• Handle and assist in engineering projects, installation and commissioning.
• Ensure new equipment or engineering activity is supported with appropriate qualification documentation and install properly and drawings are maintained.
• Work with the team and other department members to produce effective maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors on technical specification or relevant matters.
• Support, comply and ensure compliance with Safety & Health regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Identify training requirements and train operators and technician.
• Develop leadership and team spirit amongst subordinate and workers.
• Lead, participate and promote group activities amongst subordinate and workers.
• Ensuring that the quality and environmental management system conforms to the requirement of ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015.
• Follow all safety procedures & regulations and ensure safe work environment.
• Implement and participate actively in 5S activities for the Department & Organization.
• Adhere to ISO standards compliance.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.
