Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Factory Engineering Lead to head the Engineering, Maintenance and Technical teams. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across production machinery, utilities and facilities to maximize availability and minimize downtime.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills, with a focus on reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
5–8 years in factory/manufacturing engineering or maintenance with supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of production machinery, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting.
Knowledge of safety, regulatory requirements and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the factory’s Engineering, Maintenance and Technical teams.
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for production machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities.
Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, automation, and other technical issues.
Plan and manage machinery installation, commissioning, upgrading, modification, and improvement projects.
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, efficiency, and cost savings.
Coordinate with other departments to support smooth factory operations.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring failures.
