Job description

The Maintenance Officer at our resort is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all resort facilities, ensuring that both guests and staff enjoy a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a hands-on approach to handling a wide range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs. The position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to work in challenging conditions, including performing 3D jobs (dirty, demanding, and dangerous). The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on resort facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and operational systems.
  2. Conduct inspections of resort equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper functioning.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  4. Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping equipment and resort amenities like pools and recreational areas.
  5. Assist in the installation and upgrading of resort equipment and facilities.
  6. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests.
  7. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and resort standards.
  8. Work in various challenging environments, including dirty and hazardous situations, while maintaining professionalism.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
  3. Ability to perform physical labor and work in demanding and sometimes hazardous conditions.
  4. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  5. A strong commitment to safety practices.
  6. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  8. Open for Malaysian only.
