Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
  2. Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, and instrumentation.
  3. Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major equipment overhauls.
  4. Perform root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and predictive maintenance to improve equipment performance.
  5. Monitor maintenance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Manage maintenance budget, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
  7. Oversee contractor and vendor management, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
  8. Enforce workplace SSHE standards and conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
  9. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and execution.
  10. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, preferably in biodiesel, oleochemical, petrochemical, or refinery plants.
  • Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, RCA, and FMEA.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS software (SAP).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with plant utilities such as boilers, compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
  • Willing to work in Port Dickson and travel when required.
