Job summary

AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Operations - Maintenance Team. You will plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support the installation and qualification of new production equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or equivalent, and has 3+ years in equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/electronics/mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3+ years of equipment maintenance or manufacturing support in PCB/semiconductor/electronics industries.
• Experience in plating, lithography, MBU, assembly or test processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation faults.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Drive improvements in OEE and maintenance performance.
• Support installation, commissioning, qualification of new production equipment.
• Manage spare parts, inventory, and maintenance procurement activities to ensure equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, Process, Quality, and Procurement teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining maintenance standards.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities and continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize operational performance.
• Coach, develop, and qualify technicians to enhance technical competency, troubleshooting capability, and maintenance execution effectiveness.

Maintenance Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment failures.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment breakdowns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and maintenance performance.
• Support the installation, commissioning, qualification, and ramp-up of new production equipment.
• Manage critical spare parts, inventory levels, and maintenance procurement activities to ensure equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, Process, Quality, and Procurement teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining maintenance standards.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities and continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize operational performance.
• Coach, develop, and qualify technicians to enhance technical competency, troubleshooting capability, and maintenance execution effectiveness.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing support within PCB, semiconductor, or electronics industries.
• Experience in Plating, Lithography, Mechanical Build-Up (MBU), Assembly, or Test processes.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Familiar with PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, sensors, industrial robotics, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion control systems.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings and support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and equipment reliability improvement.
