Maintenance Engineer - Equipment and Facility

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing, scheduling, and executing maintenance, repair, modification, and monitoring tasks within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and schedule preventive maintenance, repair, and modification jobs in collaboration with the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance checks/monitoring systems to reduce production downtime and job repetition while ensuring compliance with SOP documentation and audits.
• Organize and plan critical work and design improvements alongside Engineers/Supervisors, including both internal and outsourced contractor jobs.
• Control Maintenance Stock Inventory by analyzing monthly purchase requisitions and maintaining the minimum level of spare parts required for in-house repairs.
• Lead the organization’s machinery and mechanical equipment expansion and upgradation projects.
• Ensure compliance with all related legislation such as OSHA, FMA, EQA, with an emphasis on waste management and Good Environmental Practices (GEP).
• Strengthen and implement training programs for the Maintenance team while developing strategies for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
• Analyze areas for improvement and lead cost-saving initiatives to achieve departmental KPI targets.
• Sharpen critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, ensuring quick and holistic resolution of customer complaints related to glove manufacturing.
• Provide analytical data, methodology, and defect analysis from process line failures to improve overall efficiency and production outcomes.

Experience Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering with a strong understanding of machinery failure systems is an advantage.
• Experience in plant breakdown maintenance, project management, and improvement projects.
• Strong skills in data analysis, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical issues and improving machinery reliability.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC, and other plant machinery.
• Familiarity with maintenance strategies including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing teams and collaborating with other departments.
