A leading data center operator in Asia Pacific is seeking an Overall Lead responsible for maintenance tasks in critical environments. The role requires expertise in managing electrical systems, HVAC, and compliance with safety regulations, along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and substantial experience. Overall Lead responsible for maintenance tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring efficient repairs and troubleshooting in critical environments with minimal disruption.
Responsible for daily maintenance and inspections of systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, UPS, DC batteries, PDU, generators, transfer switches, and switchgear.
Supervise maintenance work performed by vendors or OEMs, ensuring adherence to work method statements and signing off on each step. Escalate issues and seek work clearance when abnormalities occur.
Manage change control processes for safe operation, maintenance, and modification of critical equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
Provide onsite technical support, guide team members in fault analysis, testing, commissioning, and work closely with project teams.
Offer on-the-job training and technical support to engineers and technicians.
Monitor critical spare parts inventory to ensure continuous operation, recommending quantities and types of parts needed.
Ensure maintenance tasks meet SLA requirements, including incident escalation within 15 minutes and incident reports within 24 hours.
Qualifications
Proficient in English, capable of writing detailed work scripts, procedures, and incident reports.
Knowledge of building management laws, safety, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience in data centers or high-tech manufacturing environments.
Hands-on knowledge of critical data center electrical systems, HVAC, emergency power, UPS, and infrastructure.
Proficient in computer applications, including CMMS, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Willing to work outside office hours, providing 24/7 support onsite for incident response.
