Job description

Air Liquide is seeking a candidate with an E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) maintenance background to join the Melaka team.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
  1. Ensure the plant operates safely and optimally according to company standards and requirements.
  2. Conduct site walkabouts to identify warning signals and potential malfunctions, reporting findings to management.
  3. Properly execute and record all maintenance activities in MAXIMO (CMMS), especially for E&I and DCS systems.
  4. Perform routine checks and monitoring to ensure safe operation, using appropriate PPE.
  5. Support implementation of improvement plans from audits, RCA, and company directives.
  6. Assist in plant start-up and shutdown activities, particularly for E&I systems.
  7. Support planned and unplanned shutdowns, including TARS (Turnaround).
  8. Propose projects to optimize assets for profitability, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
  9. Assist in implementing plant maintenance, focusing on E&I and DCS.
  10. Address abnormal alarms/signals in DCS and electrical panels, troubleshooting plant issues and being on-call for emergencies.
  11. Coordinate with other departments and external parties (customers, suppliers, contractors, etc.) on daily operations.
  12. Conduct training for operators and contractors as needed.
  13. Strictly adhere to Air Liquide’s Management System, quality standards, and legal regulations.
Are you a MATCH?
  1. Degree in Engineering, such as Electronics & Instrumentation or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in industrial gas plants or similar, with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  3. Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  4. Ability to work with all levels of staff and adapt to various environments.
  5. This position is based in Malacca, with occasional travel to Senai.
