Job summary

Air Products Specialised Process Equipment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Machine Operator to safely operate and maintain production machinery for structured packing, shell sections, and related components. You will ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and timely output by following drawings, orders, and work instructions.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience with machines in a manufacturing setting, and familiarity with measuring tools and basic quality checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating machines in manufacturing.
• Experience in steel manufacturing, metal fabrication, or related industries preferred.
• Able to use measuring tools and perform basic quality inspections.
• Experience operating CNC, shearing, punching, rolling, folding or related equipment is an advantage.
• Familiar with machine setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Based in Johor or willing to relocate to Johor.

• Perform operations based on production orders and drawings.

About the role

The Machine Operator safely operates and maintains assigned production machinery to manufacture products according to production orders, engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and delivery requirements. The position supports the manufacture of structured packing, shell sections, rolled pipes, column internal parts and other production components. The operator is responsible for meeting the required dimensions, cleanliness, quality, quantity and production schedule.

Key responsibilities

Operate assigned production machinery safely, correctly and efficiently

Operate the packing line, rolling, shearing, punching, press brake and other production machines based on training and authorization

Perform machine operations according to production orders, engineering drawings, work instructions and relevant documents

Monitor machine performance and ensure production output meets delivery dates and customer quality requirements

Perform basic machine inspection, cleaning, troubleshooting and routine maintenance

Check completed products using the appropriate measuring tools and quality-control methods

Ensure dimensional accuracy, repeatability, cleanliness, and product quality during production

Identify and report machine abnormalities, equipment damage, quality problems and unsafe conditions to the supervisor

Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness around the machine and production area

Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, production instructions and workshop rules

About you

At least 2 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.

Must have experience in steel manufacturing, metal fabrication, or fabrication-related industries.

Able to use measuring tools and perform basic quality inspections.

Experience operating CNC machines, shearing machines, punching machines, rolling machines, folding machines, or other fabrication-related equipment is an advantage.

Familiar with machine setup and basic troubleshooting.

Must be currently based in Johor or be a Johor native who is willing to relocate back to Johor for work.
