Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, practical experience, and a valid E&M Engineering license. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical and mechanical systems in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on E&M systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on complex projects
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide on-call support as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of energy-efficient solutions
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in E&M engineering
Qualifications:
  • Valid E&M Engineering license
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in E&M systems maintenance and repair
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, codes, and standards
  • Proficiency in using various diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with building automation systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
  • Familiarity with energy management and conservation techniques
  • Certification in specialized areas (e.g., HVAC, PLC programming)
