Job summary

WK Consortium SB is seeking an Inspector of Works to conduct daily site inspections of M&E activities (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, ELV) to ensure adherence to drawings, specs and local regulations. You will monitor workmanship, verify installation methods, and review method statements and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of all M&E works (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, ELV) to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and local regulations.
• Monitor workmanship, materials and equipment to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
• Verify and check contractors’ installation methods, materials and sequences.
• Review and endorse method statements, shop drawings and material submissions related to M&E works.
• Identify and report discrepancies, non-conformances or potential issues to the Resident Engineer/Project Manager promptly.
• Supervise testing and commissioning processes and witness system performance tests to verify proper installation and operation of all M&E systems.
• Coordinate closely with architectural, civil and structural disciplines to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project progress.
• Maintain accurate, detailed and up-to-date site records, inspection reports and daily logs.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and participate in regular site safety audits.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide technical input as required.
• Assist in the review and certification of progress claims, variation orders and final accounts relating to M&E works.
