Job description

Job Responsibility

• Operate and maintain company lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, to ensure timely and secure delivery of goods.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems, and promptly report any maintenance issues to the supervisor to maintain vehicle safety and operational readiness.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring accurate inventory and preventing damage during transit, while complying with all safety protocols.
• Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, utilizing navigation tools and real-time traffic updates to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays, ensuring on-time delivery performance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations, and submit reports to the logistics department in a timely manner for efficient tracking and documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and delivery protocols, to ensure compliance and maintain a professional image.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status, resolve any issues, and ensure customer satisfaction, maintaining a high level of professionalism and service.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Possess a valid Class E driving license (Malaysian) with a clean driving record; Class E1, Class F, and Class H licenses are advantageous.
• Candidates must possess at least SPM
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a lorry driver, preferably within the gas or logistics industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of safe and efficient transportation practices.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedules, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Must hold a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certificate, indicating a solid foundation of basic education.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, ensuring the lorry is in optimal condition for safe operation.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations in the Kepong area, ensuring efficient and safe navigation.
