Job Duties and Qualifications

1. Freight forwarding and customs brokering experience for domestic and international movement is required.
2. Under strict supervision, responsible for properly packing, marking, labeling, and acquiring weight and dimensions for cargo.
3. Coordinates pre-shipping instructions and maintains logs, files, and supporting documents.
4. Responsible for the domestic and international movement of goods in compliance with local and international law.
5. Requires a basic understanding of the complete logistics process cycle, including proper documentation for domestic and international movement.
6. Knowledge of movement constraints and hazardous movements (explosives, radioactive, dangerous products) is essential.
7. Demonstrates understanding of all modes of transport (ocean, air, land, rail), including multimodal transport.
8. Coordinates shipment orders from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery via the most efficient method, while interfacing with customers to keep them informed of progress.
9. Correct execution of job tasks impacts cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations.
10. Assists Finance and Accounting (F&A) with validation of rates and charges on invoices.
11. Utilizes SAP and other logistics systems to perform duties and ensure correct and timely movement.
12. Records data measurements to identify trends and improve logistics services for economic benefit.
13. Requires a 2-year degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or Engineering; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
14. This is an entry-level position with 0 to 3 years of experience required.
