We’re partnering with an industrial MNC company known for its innovative solutions and they’re seeking a Logistics Specialist to optimize their international trade and logistics activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle coordination of international trade activities, from sourcing to final product distribution.
- Oversee cross-border shipping workflows, including preparing legal documentation, ensuring regulatory adherence, and liaising with logistics intermediaries and customs agents.
- Guarantee alignment with local manufacturing and trade compliance standards, as well as global customs protocols.
- Logistics planning and knowing what's next (Plan A, Plan B, Plan C)
- Serve as the key contact for regulatory authorities, transport partners, and licensing organizations involved in international shipments.
- Facilitate customs processing, tax declarations, and preparation of trade-related paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, such as shipment delays or compliance discrepancies.
- Design and refine inventory tracking systems to balance stock efficiency with cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with procurement and planning teams to anticipate material needs and synchronize supply chain strategies.
- Cultivate trust-based partnerships with domestic and international suppliers, distributors, and service providers.
- Secure advantageous contractual terms through strategic negotiations with vendors and partners.
- Continuously evaluate trade workflows to identify and implement efficiency gains or cost-saving innovations.
Candidate Profile:
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Global Trade, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in international logistics, customs management, or trade compliance, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Expertise in local and international trade compliance protocols (e.g., customs processes, cargo security regulations).
- Working knowledge of tariff classifications, import/export restrictions, and tax relief frameworks (e.g., SST exemptions)
- Demonstrated success in managing international cargo movements and collaborating with third-party logistics providers, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies.
