Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our logistics operations, ensuring seamless fulfillment of orders to our retail customers while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily logistics operations including inventory management, order processing, and shipment coordination; monitor and manage warehouse operations to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient space utilization; coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries; implement and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics processes.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Plan and execute distribution strategies to meet customer demands and delivery schedules; manage inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling and tracking shipments; collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements; optimize delivery routes and transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies; monitor product quality during storage and transportation phases; maintain accurate documentation and records for all logistics activities; conduct regular audits of logistics processes and implement improvements.
- Customer Service & Support: Address customer inquiries related to order status, delivery schedules, and logistics issues; resolve delivery-related complaints and coordinate with relevant departments for solutions; maintain strong relationships with key customers and distribution partners.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations; prepare regular reports on operational metrics, cost analysis, and performance trends; identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization; support management with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in FMCG or distribution industry; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis; knowledge of transportation management and route optimization tools; understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; team collaboration and leadership capabilities; customer service orientation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (APICS, CSCMP, etc.) is an added advantage; knowledge of Malaysian logistics regulations and compliance requirements; multilingual capabilities (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin).
