Job description

STAM is seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics operations, with a focus on aircraft parts and aviation materials. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless movement, storage, and distribution of parts in compliance with aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, a strong background in aviation logistics, and a passion for process excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, manage, and coordinate end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations (aircraft spares, ground support equipment).
  2. Ensure compliance with CAAM and other relevant aviation regulations.
  3. Oversee warehousing, distribution, transportation, and inventory management activities.
  4. Manage procurement and MRO teams to ensure timely delivery of aviation parts and equipment.
  5. Lead relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts.
  6. Analyze logistics KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve logistics and warehouse issues and implement improvements.
  8. Maintain contingency plans for disruptions such as flight delays and customs issues.
  9. Ensure import/export compliance and liaise with Malaysian Customs and other agencies.
  10. Manage and mentor logistics staff, ensuring ongoing training and development.
Requirements
  1. Strong knowledge of aviation logistics regulations and processes, especially CAAM and ATA procedures.
  2. Proficiency in logistics software such as SAP, ERP systems, and WMS.
  3. Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Working Experience
  1. Minimum 5–7 years of logistics experience, preferably in the aviation or airline industry.
  2. Solid understanding of aviation logistics operations in Malaysia.
  3. Experience with standards such as AS9110, AS9120, MOE, CAAM, EASA Part 145, FAA 14 CFR Part 145, FAA/RSQCM is an advantage.
