Job Summary

The Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) team in Malaysia provides centralized leadership for all import and export activities across MR DIY worldwide, ensuring efficient shipment planning and execution. Our team facilitates the smooth movement of goods to and from various international locations, prioritizing cost-efficiency and effective logistics operations.

We are seeking a proactive and driven individual to join our GTPC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, measuring, and supervising international import and export shipments, managing customs clearance, coordinating logistics handling, and performing data analysis to drive operational improvements. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with both domestic regulations and international export, trade, and financial standards.

This position will be based at Balakong Industrial Park, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with local/international stakeholders to monitor all import and export activities across MR DIY worldwide, responsible for all matters related to shipping functions.
  • Preferred understanding or knowledge (not mandatory) relevant with APAC/EU trade/logistic activities.
  • Collects, interprets and analyze various types of trade and logistics data including transportation cost, lead time, capacity, turnover, fulfillment metrics etc..
  • Independently generate and present routine reports to local teams and management, providing clear updates on logistic performance and metrics.
  • Identify risk and issues to implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • To manage and ensure continuous smooth import & export process in comply with the departmental guidelines. Assist in delivery planning for special commodities such as FDA, and CE on regulated items
  • Supports the design and implementation of Logistics Solutions Development with supervisor and cross functional team members to develop alternative or long-term effective solutions.
  • Examine various documents such as costing files, invoices & other related shipping documents.
  • Any other duties to be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any related field, with relevant 2 years working experience in global trading / Import & Export.
  • Import and export procedures, customs operation and HS codes knowledge.
  • Proactive with good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) which able to interact with various levels of people (peers, supervisors, international and cross department PICs).
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven and agile to various situation.
  • Ability to ‘think out of the box’ for problem-solving and competency to contribute ideas to address operational issues.
  • Professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English, as the role requires frequent communication with international stakeholders.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel (Intermediate skill level such as Pivot Table, V-lookup) and Power Point.
  • Ability to work independent and as a team.
