Job description

To coordinate, plan, and expedite daily truck bookings for loading and unloading activities with customers, suppliers, inter-company shipments, and special or urgent requests.

Update the system daily with truck confirmations, register truck numbers, and release the system for loading.

Manage multiple tasks to ensure smooth operations, including coordinating shipments, handling customer returns, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Follow up with external providers on ad hoc cases and report any additional costs incurred to relevant parties for approval.

Analyze data to identify root causes, take prompt actions, and escalate issues when necessary.

Arrange trucks for return of goods and collection of return pallets.

Review Proof of Delivery (POD) and follow up with transporters to resolve issues.

Communicate effectively with team members and external providers.

Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen.

Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Require a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics Planning, Warehouse Management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics Planning or Warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP or Fleet Management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to efficiently allocate cognitive resources to accomplish tasks.
• Willing to work in Taiping, Perak.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) is required for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
